The 2020 MotoAmerica season is officially done and dusted. We ended our season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. We had early success in the weekend with a 4th in practice, but we knew early on that the steep rolling hills of Monterey were going to be our nemesis this weekend.
We ended up qualifying 7th, but we knew that we were going to have to get a good start to be able to snag a draft up the hill. We got a good launch at the start of the race and made a couple passes into turn two, but got run wide and fell back into 7th place. Thankfully we were still right on the tail end of the battle at the front so I was able to sniff out a bit of a draft.
We ended up in a battle for 5th, but after struggling with a few engines issues we lost the draft of the rider ahead of us and finished 6th, still our best result of the year. I’m so happy we were able to end off the year on a good note, but I also am hungry for better results next year.
I am so thankful for everyone who has backed me this year, I feel that I have learned so much this year and developed a lot as a rider.
