Hi everyone,
We are walking away this weekend from Road Atlanta with another 10th place finish.
I am bummed to say the least especially because this was my home track. I know I have the ability to run up there with the fast guys, I just have to manifest it.
On Friday in practice we struggled with the quick shifter, and our Friday qualifying session was postponed to the next day due to lightning in the area.
In qualifying on Saturday we ended up 10th after running a 1:37.1. The pace was hot but the weather in Hotlanta was even hotter. After about halfway through the race I began to feel sick due to the heat.
It is a true indicator that I need to continue to push my body more in my training throughout the week to prepare myself for conditions like these.
Next weekend we head to Pittsburgh International Race Complex, a track that I honestly have struggled at in the past.
I am encouraged rather than discouraged to change my trend of results at this track.Thanks as always for the support from both my sponsors and my fans.
